OSIMHEN : NAPOLI OR NOT?

Should Napoli eventually unveil Victor Osimhen, the young Nigerian would automatically become Africa's second most expensive footballer behind Arsenal's Nicolas Pepe who joined from Lille for $89m.

But when this will be, we are yet to know. Stories surrounding this transfer are to say the least worrisome.

Today, he is in Italy for negotiation. The next day, he has returned to Lille, France. The day after, Liverpool and Manchester United are making late enquiries about Osimhen. Day after, he is undergoing medicals in Napoli.....the next day, he has passed medicals and the next, he wants a share of his commercial rights....and so on....

Each time, you reach his agent or representatives (as I am made to understand in my findings that there are two representatives of his in Nigeria yet he has a French agent who anchors his deals)....you are told, "he may be heading for England"...."He is just whiskers away from being unveiled by Napoli"...."Covid-19 Pandemic is delaying the whole process". What do we believe?

It is the prayer of every football lover and fan of the leggy forward that he lands this move eventually and settle in for real business. It gladdens our hearts that he is linked with a whopping €83m (about $80m) transfer fee which is Africa's second highest so far.
