COVID-19 CURE DEBATE RAGES

Since Dr. Stella Immanuel told the world that she has discovered the cure for Coronavirus (Covid-19) the world has been engulfed in a heated debate as many insist her cure-proposal was false, fake and a fluke....while some wondered if the world prefers we continue living in fear and uncertainty of not finding a solution...rather than investigate her proposal through thorough research works to acknowledge its potency or effectiveness.

Nigerian-born Dr. Stella Immanuel, on July 27 said she had successfully treated more than 350 people in the United States with coronavirus using hydroxychloroquine, zinc and Zithromax.

Immanuel disclosed this when she addressed the press after America’s Frontline Doctors Summit in front of the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. on Monday, July 27.

She had first touted the effectiveness of the drug on April 27.

Stories emanating from China, France, and the United States suggest that more attention are now given to Dr. Immanuel's claims even as tests and research works have commenced to verify, ascertain, or certify the efficacy of this proposal.

It is hoped that these latest research works could lead to the much-awaited breakthrough (ray of light at the end of the tunnel)...signifying the end to Covid-19 Pandemic which has literally caged the world and threatened the existence of mankind.

The prayer of millions across the world is that those playing politics with the Pandemic thus, milking the world by feeding fat with the spread of stories of fear would be silenced by this divine message from Dr. Immanuel.

Hopefully, it should indeed be a divine message cum proposal....but most importantly a cure. Who knows, this could just be another feather to or on Nigeria's cap. Who says Nigeria is only known for corruption, insecurity, and bad leaders?

There is the Donald Trump's angle of the whole debate. International relations cum diplomacy pundits opine that should the findings of Dr. Immanuel hold water then, it could shore up support for the US President in second term bid. It is argued in some circles that those believed to be working against Trump will frustrate any truth behind Dr. Immanuel's proposal. This writer does not follow nor support this line of argument or thinking.

However, until proven beyond doubts as true cure of Covid-19, we must continue to live by the standard rules of the World Health Organization (WHO) which includes social distancing, washing our hands regularly under or with running water, wearing a face mask and using hand sanitizer among other disinfectants.

Covid-19 is real. No cure has been found. It has no age, gender or class barrier or limitations. Live healthily, Stay safe!
