Nigeria Flags Off COVID-19 Vaccination

Nigeria on Friday kicked off its COVID-19 Vaccination at National Hospital, Abuja.
Chairman, Presidential Task Force on COVID -19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, flagged off the exercise on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari.

With this launch Nigeria has now officially join the League of Nations who have began the inoculation of their citizens against Covid-19.

The first set of people to receive the AstraZeeneca jab are   the frontline medical workers, followed by some selected public figures such as the president and his vice president and some top politicians will also get the vaccines .

The vaccination campaign was rolled out after the AstraZeneca vaccines which arrived in the country on Tuesday, got the approval of NAFDAC
