Lagos Politician Seeks Help Over Alleged Threat To Life

A Badagry based business man and politician, Olushola Oladele has cried out for help over alleged threats to his life by unknown armed men.

Oladele, is a grassroots politician who has taken a stand against political violence and corruption.

According to him, (Oladele), he received uninvited visitors in his house on Saturday, 21st of April 2018 , as armed hoodlums believed to be political thugs stormed the resident in the  night.

It was gathered that the hoodlums who caused pandemonium in Oladele's resident, harassed passers-by and neighbours around before gaining access into his house, where they destroyed all the household equipment.

However, the victim, Oladele who was said to be the target was able to escape through the building fence to the next street where some people further helped him escape. 

"A close member of his family who requested for his identity to covered said, he was fortunate to have escaped the attack.

 "We were also fortunate because the remaining members of his family were out visiting a family friend for the weekend. 

The thugs were said to have visited Oladele's house again on Monday, 24 April at night, looking more deadly than the previous attack as they shot into the air so as to drive away neighbours, and this time, their target and members of his family were at home.

The hoodlums gave their victim and the family members the beating of their lives and asked for their money, gold, phones and other valuable. 

According to one Wasiu, who claimed to be part of the family  “the hoodlums asked his brother to stay away from their Party, because they don’t need him. " When they were leaving,  they took with them one of Oladele’s cars and all valuables they have collected."

The incident has however been reported to the police, but no arrest have been made as at the time of filing this report.

Speaking to our reporter, Mr. Oladele said, he believes that his stand against violence, political thuggry and corruption has peach him against some power broker in the party and that his life is in danger.

Oladele, who has the strong support of the youth in the area because of the many employment opportunity that became available through him, seem to lack the support of the top corrupt politician in the area.

 He further alleged that they  have used thugs to terrorise him and his family with little help from security personnel before now and have also warn him to leave the environment , if he cherish his life and that of his love ones.

Oladele is however calling on the necessary authority to save his life and that of his love ones from the said political thugs who are seeking his life.
