I’ll Announce My New Party In The Next 48 Hours – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani
had gone to sleep at the close reality of an automatic Senatorial ticket from
the APC but it all seemed too close to comfort as he was sidelined for another
candidate by the party.
The serving
lawmaker representing Kaduna Central had accepted his situation in good fate
and wished the party well on its future endeavours.
While Sani
might have been embittered by the sad development, he has revealed he will
announce his new political affiliation in two days’ time.
Uba Sani, the
anointed candidate of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai was given the slot
for the APC Senatorial ticket for Kaduna Central constituency. This came after
the party consistently insisted that Shehu Sani is its recognised candidate
until the name sent to INEC suggested otherwise.
A primary
election was claimed to have been held by the Kaduna State APC, with Shehu Sani
deeming it illegal, hence his non-participation.
Sani
withdrew his membership from the party on Saturday, October 19, as a form of
protest for how he was ditched by the party at the death.
Sani did not
announce his next destination as he has revealed his next party will be known
in the next two days.
He
surprisingly stayed behind at the behest of a flurry of defections of lawmakers
that hit the APC. He was one of the Senators who stayed back in the party when
others moved to the PDP.
On Saturday,
Senator representing Kogi West said, Dino Melaye tweeted and advised Senator
Sani to be careful on his next line of action. He said ‘borrow yourself brain’
in a message that may be pointing towards a call for a potential return to the
PDP by the Senator.
Sani
has revealed his 2019 ambition will not be disturbed by the APC’s last-minute
decision against his candidacy, as he runs a grace against time to gain
reckoning.
