Another Minister Resigns To Vie For Political Office
Minister-of-State
for Foreign Affairs, Khadija Ibrahim has resigned from her position to contest
for a seat in the House of Representatives for 2019.
Ibrahim
tendered her letter of resignation on Wednesday, 9th of January.
Khadija
Ibrahim, wife of former Yobe State Governor, and Senator, Bukar Abba-Ibrahim
said she resigned to focus on her political quest.
She vied
against her son-in-law in the primaries to emerge as the candidate of the APC
in her constituency. Her tussle with her son-in-law had caused a slight uproar
in the family before the rancour was settled.
Her
replacement is expected to be announced in the coming days.
