Why won't I celebrate this comedienne who recently bagged a doctorate degree in theatre arts at the very famous University of Lagos?

Like we say and ask in pidgin, E EASY? Not everyone in her field talking about the comedy sector which is an arm of the ever vibrant and money spinning entertainment industry has a PhD.

Here is a woman who like millions of others started life from the scratch....Yes, from the scratch. Her beginning was really a humble one. She was not born with a diamond spoon. She struggled to get to where she is at the moment.

"Tatafo" as her stage name goes entered into the comedy world dominated by her male counterparts bravely. Like every determined Nigerian she went against all odds to carve a niche for herself with her unique kid-comical role on stage.

Like they say, the rest is now history. Managing her home, career and education can't be bread and butter or rice and beans. It was tough but she excelled and even went steps further to secure her future with a Masters and doctorate degrees. Yes, who says Helen Paul cannot combine acting with working in a big agency, corporation or multi-national company?

Indeed, beyond the sky is her starting point. She has challenged her colleagues in the entertainment industry most of whom are also aspiring to attain such academic feat or height.

We say a big CONGRATULATIONS to Tatafo who is now the pacesetter as the first comedian to grab a PhD!
