We Will Restore Hope to the Youth

A newly elected member of the House of Representative Hon. Abdulkarim Usman Ombamas, has said that he will be fighting to restore the dignities of Nasarawa state youth by making sure that they get gainfully employed.

Usman was speaking in Abuja recently when a cross section of Nasarawa state youths base in FCT paid him a visit to celebrate his election.

Usman who is called Ombamas took the youth on a journey of his life and recalled his days as an unemployed Bayero university Kano graduate and stated that it was not a funny situration. “ I feel your pains because I have face it too and I can tell you it is not a funny situration.

He further pointed that the high level of crime and the bad economic in the country today can all be traced to the high rate of unemployment in the country. He then promise to work hard and jointly with both the state and federal government to assist Nasarawa state youth get employment.

“you will remember that before the elections, I promised you that I will work hard to ensure that most of you are gain employment. I am on it and as soon as I the new national assembly resumes that will be my start off point”. 

Usman who won elections under the platform of PDP, representing Akwanga,Wamba and Nassarawa Eggon federal constituency stated that he will fight for women and children right.

“I will continue to take care of women most especially our widows like I was doing before going into politics”.

He the urge the youth to be law abiding, adding that his doors are open for them anytime.

Speaking at the occasion, A representative of the youth Mr. Isaac Namo said Nasarawa state youths have over the time been left on their own, a situation which has resulted to high rate of crime in the state. “The youth of Nasarawa state are hard working and have an eye for a bright future but our leaders have left us to wonder in various directions without any form of guardians. But with you their now, we see a ray of hope, that light that will shine for us to prosper again” Mr Namo added
