LAGOS STATE JUSUN ELECT NEW EXCO

The judiciary staff union of Nigeria (JUSUN) Lagos state
chapter today had it general election. The election today is to elect new
officials who will run the affairs of the association in the next four years.
The run off to the election took the form of party politics
as staff of the Lagos judiciary were equally divided between the two main candidate
who are Prince Taofeek Gbadebo of the Omoluabi team and Alhaji Kehide Shobowale
of the pillars team.
After a keenly contested elections Alhaji Kehide Shobowale
of the pillars team won with 388 votes defeating Prince Taofeek Gbadebo of the
Omoluabi team, who got 382 to became the new chairman of the judiciary staff
union of Nigeria (JUSUN) Lagos state chapter .
In his address the Chief Judge of Lagos State Justice Kazeem
Aloba praise the peaceful conduct of the election and the way the judiciary
staff conducted themselves. He further pledge his support for all the staff of
the judiciary , urging them to work hard in pursue of excellence in their work,
promising that their welfare will always remain paramount with him. The CJ was
represented by the director of finance and human resources Mr. Sanusi Kamar .
In his acceptance address the new chairman Alhaji Kehide
Shobowale promise that he will not let them down as he intend to work hard to
achieve all his promises to the members. Others that were elected are Ogunnaike
Adenike as vice chairman, Olorunfunmilayo Oloyede as treasurer.
Also speaking at the event the new vice chairman Ogunnaike
Adenike said “This election is the best ever organize by JUNSUN Lagos.
Everything went on well and there was no imposition of any candidate. We all
had our opportunities to sell ourselves .
A JUNSUN member Okereji Oluwatosin Samson also express
satisfaction with the conduct of the election and also with the outcome of the
election further stating that “this is what we want , to have somebody we can
trust”.
