Tata Motors Records 27% Growth in Domestic Sales in Oct
Automaker Tata Motors on Tuesday registered a growth of 27% in total domestic sales in the month of October.
The company sold 49,669 units in the outgoing month as compared to 39,152 units
sold in October 2019, according to a company release.
In the
passenger vehicle segment, domestic sales stood at 23,617 units in October 2020
as against 13,169 units sold in the corresponding month of the previous year,
recording an impressive double-digit growth of 79%.
As for the
commercial vehicle (CV) segment, the company sold a total of 26,052 units in
October 2020 as compared to 25,983 units sold an year ago, witnessing just a
marginal increase.
M&HCV sales stood at 5,033 units up by 3% as compared to 4,893 units sold
in October 2019 whereas the I&LCV segment witnessed a growth of 12% at
4,286 unit sales in October 2020 as against 3,832 units sold in the same month
last year.
Passenger carrier sales tanked by 56% to 755 units as compared to 1,706 unit
sales in October 2019.
Meanwhile, CV exports rose by 20% in October 2020 at 2,420 units. The automaker
had exported 2,019 units in October 2019.
