This year’s Summit, with the theme: “Investment and Securities Act 2025: Innovations and Opportunities in the Nigerian Capital Market”, is particularly significant as it comes at a transformative time for the Nigerian capital market, following the recent enactment of the Investment and Securities Act 2025 (ISA 2025). As many of you may know, the recently enacted Investment and Securities Act 2025 repeals the 2007 Act and introduces transformative reforms that reposition the Nigerian Capital Market for the future.

This landmark legislation reflects global best practices and provides a more robust legal framework for capital market activities in Nigeria. Notably, it enhances investor protection, improves regulatory oversight, strengthens enforcement mechanisms, and expands opportunities for participation across the financial ecosystem, especially within the digital assets space.

This is a defining moment for the Nigerian capital market, and it is within this context that the CMSA is convening this important Summit. Since its establishment in 2001, the CMSA has played a pivotal role in the growth and evolution of Nigeria’s capital market by promoting thought leadership, legal excellence, advocacy, and regulatory reform’’ Iwezu added
