TINUBU HINTS AT LIMITED CAMPAIGN TOURS AHEAD OF 2027 ELECTION

President Bola Tinubu has indicated that he may not campaign across the country extensively ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying governance must continue alongside political activities.

Tinubu reportedly made the remarks during the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, where discussions centred on preparations for his re-election campaign.

The president's position suggests that his campaign strategy may focus on selected states considered important to the ruling party's electoral prospects rather than a nationwide tour covering every state.

The development comes as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, with the APC seeking to consolidate its political structures and mobilise support for Tinubu's second-term bid.

The ruling party's national leadership has repeatedly expressed confidence in its organisational strength, pointing to its nationwide network of party officials and the support of several state governors.

However, opposition parties have continued to question the administration's performance, particularly on economic hardship, insecurity and the cost of living.

The coming months are expected to provide a clearer picture of the competing parties' campaign strategies as political activities gather momentum ahead of the elections.
