AWLA Nigeria Celebrates President, Mandy Asagba, on Milestone Birthday

The Executive Council (EXCO) of the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) Nigeria Chapter has extended warm congratulations to its Country President, Mandy Asagba, on the occasion of her milestone birthday, praising her transformative leadership and dedicated service to legal advocacy.

In an official statement issued by the executive body, the organisation celebrated Asagba’s vision and contributions to advancing human rights. Under her stewardship, AWLA Nigeria has expanded its reach in providing free legal assistance to vulnerable women, spearheading campaigns against gender-based violence, and promoting children's rights across the country.

"Your leadership, vision, and dedication to our Organisation have made a lasting impact," the Executive Council stated. "Thank you for leading with excellence, Madam President! Your legacy inspires us."

The EXCO highlighted her key achievements—including strengthened legal aid networks, enhanced community sensitization programs, and active policy advocacy for gender equity—as lasting benchmarks of her tenure. As she marks this personal milestone, the council offered prayers for her continued health, joy, and success.

The African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) Nigeria Chapter is a non-governmental organisation of female legal practitioners dedicated to protecting, promoting, and preserving the rights of women and children through free legal representation, public advocacy, and policy reform.
